Sara Megna DDS
Dr. Megna grew up in the small town of Skaneateles in upstate New York. After graduating high school, Sara lived abroad in Ecuador for a year via a Rotary foreign exchange program. Her time abroad allowed her to be immersed in a culture different from her own, learn Spanish, and establish lifelong relationships.
After returning from Ecuador, she attended a SUNY college to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish. Four years later, she graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in the top five of her class. The cold winters and grey skies of Buffalo made it a little easier to spend so much time studying! She then decided it was time to escape the New York winters and head for the Rocky Mountains.
Dr. Megna pursued a residency program at the University of Colorado, where she expanded her knowledge in many aspects of dentistry, including implant placement and Invisalign. Dr. Megna has special training in hospital dentistry from the University of Colorado. She provides advanced operating room and hospital-setting dental care for special needs patients. Dr. Megna has hospital privileges with the University of Colorado and works part-time as clinical faculty instructing dental students at CU School of Dental Medicine.
She lives in Fort Collins with her husband, their son, and their dog. Her free time is spent in the mountains, camping, hiking, skiing, and cycling. She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for traveling. She looks forward to meeting all of her patients and establishing a comfortable setting for their care. She prides herself on her compassion and conservative dental techniques to help patients achieve the smiles they desire!
